Our Father-God, my Father-God, is always intentionally trying to help us realize the joy He has from not only delivering us, but in prospering us. It’s a wrong way to look at ourselves but do you ever internally talk to yourself and say, “I’m such a mess, but I’m just so grateful Jesus saved me. I’m such a mess I really don’t feel like I should ever ask for anything else from Him.” is this ever your internal self-talk you do with yourself?
Yet God as a Father doesn’t say, “Well, yes, I delivered you of so much of a mess that you were that I think that’s about all I can do for you.” No, that’s not God talking but some other voice inside of us.
What our Father-God speaks to us is, “I want more for your life, much more!. You are made of My very image. You’re a delight to Me. I desire more for you. It’s nothing you can earn. I just want to give more to you because you are my precious child!”
There’s a statement that Jesus made about walking with God, and it was this:
“I have come that they may have life and have it more abundantly” (John 10:19).
Have you ever have mulled over that statement of Jesus for a while? Well, let’s consider it a little more. An abundant life goes beyond just a normal everyday life, beyond what everyone else experiences. It means a fullness of the expression of life in every dimension.
Jesus came so we would have the fullness of life in every way possible. Now when we’re not experiencing this fullness of life in some area, God wants us to dance with Him, pursue Him as a Father. We are to ask “Why is there not abundance in this area of our life? Why is our soul not prospering? Why are our children not prospering? What’s going on that in our role as a father that this is not connecting?.
