BECOMING MORE AWARE OF GOD’S KINDNESS CAPTIVATES THE HEART
Something about God’s kindness that’s just captivating. God wants us to capture this.
When we have God-encounters – God shows us something in the Scripture, a Christian says something kind to us, when God answers our prayers, when someone gives us a word of knowledge or a word of prophecy , when we go out in the community and God touches our heart – there’s what we call dialogue that’s non-verbal that’s happening to our hearts.
We need to recognize it so that it can nurture us. How important is the embrace of God?. It’s so important to acknowledge kindness when it’s coming towards us or we’ll be longing for it and searching for it even though it’s right there.
We’re in a community where this is going on worldwide. The first level of kindness is when God puts us in a family again. When He puts us in a family and people care for us, that’s kindness.
God wants us to see this is what it is. This is kindness being shown to us. When God draws near to our hearts, we always try to stop for a moment and not just say “Here’s God. Let’s see if we can get an answer to a prayer or get this thing or that thing we’re trying to resolve.”
We need to stop and just acknowledge who He is for a moment. Here’s the kindness of the Lord that is drawn near us. It is so captivating to be caught by this.
