Does Jesus Still Heal Today? Part 5

Healing is not an isolated spiritual activity. It belongs inside the larger story of God’s Kingdom advancing through Jesus and continuing through His people.

Word and Spirit, together

The Kingdom is still advancing—and Jesus still invites us to participate.

Healing flows from the compassion and authority of Jesus—not from our ability to impress anyone.

Daniel 2:44 describes a Kingdom established by God that will never be destroyed. Jesus entered Galilee announcing that this Kingdom had drawn near. He then demonstrated its presence through forgiveness, deliverance, restoration, and healing.

Jesus trained His disciples to proclaim the gospel, minister to people, confront darkness, and depend on the Holy Spirit. The Great Commission calls His followers to pass on what He taught.

The biblical frame

A Kingdom that will never end

Jesus declared, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel” (Mark 1:15). This Kingdom does not advance through human domination. It advances as God transforms hearts, forgives sin, delivers people from darkness, and restores what the enemy has damaged.

God still intervenes, but healing ministry must never become technique or performance. We listen to the Holy Spirit, study the ministry of Jesus, grow in compassion, and pray with faith. Disappointment and uncertainty are real, yet they do not have to keep us from faithful obedience.

Equipped to continue His work

The practical invitation is simple: learn, practice, pray for people, grow in discernment, and receive correction without condemnation. The goal is not merely to collect information, but to recognize what Jesus is doing and faithfully join Him.
